Grant Guidelines

The Frederick & Margaret L. Weyerhaeuser Foundation is looking to change lives through innovative programs that affect today’s youth.  We are interested in creative programs aimed at youth education and healing.

We will consider programs that fit into one or more of the four program areas detailed below.  The Foundation has a particular interest in measurable outcomes. Grant size is expected to range from $20,000 to $40,000.   We will only consider grants to organizations with 501(c)3 status.

Program Areas

Adolescent & Childhood Mental Health
The Foundation is interested in educating the general public about childhood and adolescent mental health. We are especially interested in parent education and early intervention programs that involve families, teachers and others in contact with young children and adolescents.

Youth Conservation Education
The Foundation is interested in instilling an environmental conservation ethic in youth.  We are particularly looking for programs that create within youth a knowledge and appreciation of the environment while fostering a sense of responsibility and desire to make ecologically sound decisions.

Service Learning
